At the Arcturus Association, our mission is to promote the development of decentralized protocols and applications in and for space.

We believe that decentralization is a important pillar for enabling an open, cooperative, and sustainable human presence in space.

However, as on Earth, if implemented haphazardly and without sufficient forethought, decentralized technologies risk driving inequality on (literally) astronomical scales.

Therefore, we aim to raise awareness of the benefits and risks of decentralized technologies in space and promote important areas of research & development.

What we do

We provide a forum for discussion at the intersection of decentralization & space and promote collaborations between government, academic, & industry stakeholders.

With a unique blend of expertise combining space and decentralized technologies, we aim to help members deploy decentralized protocols and applications in the space environment sustainably and equitably.

We are interested in all aspects of decentralization in the space environment. Some of our current initiatives are​:

• Incentivizing sustainability & circularity in the rapidly growing space economy
